Is anyone interested in working on a URL syntax to specify network addresses in other than IPv4? I believe it would be very useful to have standard representation of addresses for AppleTalk, IPX, SNA, etc. If there has been some work done in this direction, please let me know. If not, or if the work has stalled, I am interested in taking it forward with some positive proposals and collaboration. My interest is in discovery protocols (I am a coauthor of the Service Location Protocol.) Erik Guttman Sun Microsystems, Inc. eguttman@eng.sun.com +1 415 336 6697
