Larry, I don't seem to have a copy of a proposed (even unrevised) agenda for the URI mtg, but I hope we can find a little time to talk about the issues I was trying to address in my internet drafts on what aspects of urn resolution should and should not be standardized and how to deal with multiplicity of resolution services. I know you sent me a private note suggesting that that note ended just when it was getting going. I didn't want to take a position on how it should be done in that note, in order to leave the door open for alternative suggestions. Of course I have a model of how it should be done and I would certainly like to propose it, but in the meantime, we should at least have the meta-level discussion about what should and should not be standardized. Once we've done that, we will have another point to make in the charter and schedule of tasks for the WG. Given that I expecting to be writing a paper for elsewhere until I get on the plane, I'm definitely not up for a long talk that needs lots of preparation, but I think the agenda for the mtg should have this topic on it, and I'd be happy to introduce it BRIEFLY. Again, I don't remember whether this is on the agenda, but perhaps we should just hold off unless someone has something particularly insightful to say about it, but there is definitely the issues of authentication and security. I will say here (so it's more public) that I will make my best effort to write an internet draft on this subject prior to the December mtg, so we might be able to use that as the basis for a discussion on that topic.
