---------------------------------------- CALL FOR PARTICIPATION First International Workshop on MINING THE FUTURE INTERNET (MIFI2010) http://mining-future-internet.org Berlin, Germany September 20, 2010 2:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. Seminaris Campus Hotel Berlin Room 6 ----------------------------------------- To be held at: 3rd Future Internet Symposium 2010 (FIS 2010) http://www.fis2010.org/ ----------------------------------------- Registration: http://www.fis2010.org/join-in/registration ----------------------------------------- INVITATION We invite you to participate in our First International Workshop on MINING THE FUTURE INTERNET (MIFI2010). Knowledge representations used for the next generation Internet are expected to provide machine understandable semantics based on structured representations (i.e. RDF). Having this more expressive structured representations opens up new opportunities for more intelligent data processing: While the current Web is mainly about key word search, the future Internet offers data mining and machine learning techniques an extensive, ready to use source of structured information for sophisticated inductive inference tasks, like uncertain query answering. The First International Workshop on Mining the Future Internet offers a platform for discussing algorithms and applications for probabilistic inductive inference and statistical analysis of Future Internet knowledge bases like the large amounts of Linked Data sets already being available. Have a look at our preliminary schedule: http://www.csw.inf.fu-berlin.de/mifi2010/schedule and the invited talk summary: http://www.csw.inf.fu-berlin.de/mifi2010/talk and join us on September, 20th, in Berlin! -- Achim Rettinger Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) Institute AIFB www.aifb.kit.edu/web/Achim_Rettinger/en KIT - University of the State of Baden-Wuerttemberg and National Laboratory of the Helmholtz Association
