The Web Information Systems (WIS) group in TU Delft (Delft University of Technology, the Netherlands) has a PhD position available in Semantic Search, Linked Data and Adaptive Web, funded from the FP7 project ImREAL. The WIS group concentrates in its research on large-scale information systems, specifically information systems that involve Web and Semantic Web technology. Main topics in the group's research activities are: - engineering and science of the adaptive web, including user modeling and personalization, - semantic search and retrieval, - semantic integration and linked data. Candidates should have a master degree in computer science or related disciplines and have good communicative skills in English, both in speaking and in writing. We are looking for a candidate with good programming skills as well as good conceptual modeling skills. Knowledge of Web and Semantic Web languages and tools is a plus. Successful candidates will work in the large-scale European project ImREAL. We offer the chance to perform high-quality and cutting-edge research in an international environment, while working in close collaboration with the members of the WIS group at TU Delft. The PhD position is available for a period of four years.
