WOP 2010: Call for Late Breaking News

*** Workshop on Ontology Patterns ***

WOP 2010: Call for Late Breaking News (LBN)

Workshop date: November 8th, 2010
Place: Shanghai, China
Workshop program: http://ontologydesignpatterns.org/wiki/WOP:2010#Program

WOP is a full-day ISWC10 [1] workshop addressing the emerging topic of ontology patterns as best practices, related to the ontologydesignpatterns.org initiative. Patterns need to be shared by a community in order to provide a common language and stimulate pattern usage and development. Hence, the aim of this workshop is twofold; both providing an arena for proposing and discussing good practices, patterns, pattern-based ontologies, systems etc., and broadening the pattern community that will develop its own “language” for discussing and describing relevant problems and their solutions.

** Late Breaking News **
Immediately before starting the poster session we are planning to dedicate a 10 minutes slot to short presentations of LBN i.e. preliminary results and/or ongoing early work, which is relevant to the WOP community.

Each LBN will have one minute slot for oral presentation, the presenter can use 1 slide (that must be sent together with the LBN proposal). Additionally, the author can bring a poster that will have a place in the poster session.

LBNs are not included in the workshop proceedings, the aim is to share news about the field and have feedback from the community during the workshop.

** Submission **
A LBN proposal is submitted by sending its title to valentina.presutti@cnr.it
You can accompany the submission with 1 slide that will be projected during the one minute slot. Please, specify in the email if you are bringing a poster.

** Deadline **
The last time to submit LBN proposals is Saturday (November 6th - 23:59 Hawaiian time)
We will accept up to 10 late breaking news (first in first served).
