Hi all Just to draw special attention to our current advertised vacancy at <http://www.bris.ac.uk/boris/jobs/ads?ID=44354>. It is based with the Web Futures team* (with opportunities to move to the commercial branch of the organisation if desired in future, or to stay within the Web Futures team), Salary: £27,929-£36,959, closing date 9.00 am on 21 November 2005. The first project that the successful candidate takes on will be the JISC funded IUGO project (see <http://iugo.ilrt.bris.ac.uk/>). This project is underway - we are producing (Java based) conference data aggregation tools, with browse and search facilities. We are marking up vocabulary data in OWL and SKOS. And we are already seeking extensional funding to this work as, since the outset, there has been plenty of interest in the web app + tools we are producing. Please feel free to contact me direct with any informal enquiries about the post. Nikki P.S. as some of you may know, the previous post-holder was head-hunted by YAHOO! and is now in Silicon Valley! * Web Futures was previously known as the Semantic Web Group at ILRT, which is a department within the University of Bristol. ---------------------- NJ Rogers, Technical Researcher (Senior Technical Developer and Coordinator of Web Futures) Institute for Learning and Research Technology (ILRT) Email:nikki.rogers@bristol.ac.uk Tel: +44(0)117 9287113 (Direct) Tel: +44(0)117 9287193 (Office)
