Norm, For a first version of the pipeline language, I can live with that restriction. Just string parameters are good enough in most cases. In an ideal world, I would like XDM to be used for both parameters and inputs/outputs. This would enable us to pass a whole document, or just an attribute node as a parameter to an XSLT stylesheet.
