aloha! i'm posting this to the list, because as i noted in the discussion page for the proposed elements and element reform page on the XHTML2 wiki http://www.w3.org/MarkUp/xhtml2/wiki/Talk:ProposedElements @for would take an IDREF, and operate much in the manner it did in HTML 4.01 with the important exception that it will not be limited to use with the LABEL element, but be extended to provide a reuse mechanism for (at least) ABBR, Q, D, and CITE. A for attribute would also be extremely useful as a means of establishing a relationship between a quote and its source, as outlined in: http://www.w3.org/MarkUp/xhtml2/wiki/ProposedElements/Q#Proposed_Attribute_Set_for_the_Q_Element can i stroke should i create an issue for this proposal, as well as for the D (for dialogue) proposal outlined at: http://www.w3.org/MarkUp/xhtml2/wiki/ProposedElements/D thanks, gregory. ------------------------------------------------------ It is better to ask some of the questions than to know all the answers. -- James Thurber ------------------------------------------------------ Gregory J.
