WebID-ISSUE-38: Differentiate between the identifying agent and the user operating the identifying agent [WebID Spec] http://www.w3.org/2005/Incubator/webid/track/issues/38 Raised by: Toby Inkster On product: WebID Spec Reported by Toby Inkster at http://lists.foaf-project.org/pipermail/foaf-protocols/2010-August/003265.html The current spec doesn't differentiate very well between the identifying agent which is "typically also a User Agent" which in most peoples' minds roughly corresponds to a browser, and the user operating the identifying agent itself. It says for instance "Identification Certificate: An X.509 [X509V3] Certificate that must contain a Subject Alternative Name extension with a URI entry. The URI identifies the Identification Agent"; and "WebID URI: A URI specified via the Subject Alternative Name extension of the Identification Certificate that identifies an Identification Agent."
