Hi, As mentioned in yesterday's call, I was at a seminar this week for academic publishers. The most popular speaker was Ros Lawler of Random House Publishers (I know she was the most popular because the organisers made it into a competition - Ros came top, and I'm pretty sure I came bottom!). Anyway - having worked at places like Radio 1 in the past she's now using social media to put authors and readers in touch - thinks like Authors Place[1]. I've invited her along to talk about that use - what works and what doesn't - as I hope it will give an angle on our work that we won't get from within ourselves. Given that a lot of us are thinking about our summer holidays and not really much else at this time, I've arranged for Ros to join the call on Wednesday 23rd September. I've put it on the Wiki [2] but is there an actual calendar somewhere that I'm missing? Phil.
