ISSUE-60: reinvent Help and DoIt (public comment) http://www.w3.org/2006/WSC/Group/track/issues/60 Raised by: Bill Doyle On product: Note: use cases etc. >From public comments raised by: Al Gilman Alfred.S.Gilman@ieee.org http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-usable- authentication/2007Apr/0000.html reinvent Help and DoIt where it says, in 10.1.8 Provide explanations, justifying the advice or information given If the user is expected to carry out a task or an action to achieve the desired level of security, they should have access to an explanation that justifies why it is necessary. Yes, yes, yes. Where the projection of the security infoset that the WG has nominated as "what to present" fails to communicate, and the user can recognize this, there needs to be built into the *easy* interactive fabric of Rich Web content a way for them to get more information when they will somehow manage to recognize that they care about the decision and don't grasp the info they need. See comment to 10.1.7 for more.
