Hello everyone, After the interesting discussion of defining WebViews (which will continue soon) I wanted to bring back the idea of being more vocal about the WebView market share. As the groups charter includes the goal "raise awareness about the impact of WebViews for Web technologies in relevant communities" I would like to play with ideas that do that with market share data. While researching for the WebView definition, I came across Doms blog post [1] that announced this CG. He opened up with pointing out that the market share of WebViews is often overlooked by using the Cloudflare radar dashboard [2]. So there is public data available, it's only not included in the quarterly report and from the data we got [3] some apps that supposedly are using WebViews are missing. Would you included these apps like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn etc. into the WebView category based on their user agent/client hints? What do you think of the idea of adding a little chart or widget to caniwebview.com that shows the market share of WebViews?
