Hi all, this is a message to the members of the Web Plarform London group on Meetup: http://www.meetup.com/WebPlatform-London/ and CCed to the public mailing list for contributors to the W3C "Web Platform Docs" project: http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-webplatform/ I stepped up as organiser of the Web Platform London group a while ago, few days before meetup.com would have closed it. I stepped up with the intention of keeping on organising meetups on Web Components, but after a little time I was involved in the organization of another groups on Web Components that it's quite successful now and with great content: http://www.meetup.com/web-components-meetup/ so I decided to change the direction of Web Platform London to something more generic, educational, and driven by an amazing community guided by the W3C directly: http://www.webplatform.org/ I contribute to WebPlatform.org for documentation and event organisation, and thought that a community based in London, one of the most active and innovative cities in the world for web development, could make sense and give a boost to Web Platform meetups all around the world. This meetup group is an experiment, and the idea behind this experiment is that everyone can partecipate in suggesting free meetups, in cafes or offices in London, to share a project, knowledge, or requesting help, do some pair programming, learning from other professionals, and writing articles for webplatform.org Those are only few ideas! I would love to hear yours and looking forward to starting meeting up! \o/ Francesco <http://www.francesco.iovine.name/>
