Hi all! This is an update on the recent changes and what’s coming. What’s new: - Readiness markers are deployed - The purple warning notice is removed - Updated the sitemap xml files - Homepage has the new color scheme matching the readiness markers What’s coming next: - Deploy the new data-driven compatibility tables extension in the live wiki (see Compatibility tables below) - Deploy the compilation of the compatibility tables - Remove the old (manual) compatibility tables from the live wiki templates(The data will still be there, but they won’t appearanymore) - Upgrade MediaWiki version its application servers Operating System (its using Ubuntu 10.04) Compatibility tables: To roll out the compatibility tables, we needed more data. Now, thanks to Shepazu and Frozenice, we do. The extension is already running in the test wiki since last April, you can see an example here [0]and the project details are outlined in this page [1]. Soon enough, we will also create a GitHub repository where we will accept pull-requests to update the data manually. Theformat will be similar to [3]. While we will allow human entered data, our objective is to eventually improve the quality of the compatibility data by using results from browser testing. But, until we have an automated feature testing, we will have this GitHub repository to allow us to update the data. More details to come soon.
