I'd like to point out some tool that might be useful to us.

As I understand it, this is a one-time import, and will gradually be
replaced by test-based data.  So we are likely better with just getting it
done with what's already started.

<plea> Maybe start a separate thread for general code repo issues, if that
still needs discussion? </plea>
