This would solve several problems: * the narrow body area * the need to jump around within the document * the TOC conflicts with tables, images, and other wider content I vote in favor of moving the TOC to the right gutter, at least for a trial run. At some point, we should think about how this is rendered on narrow screens, and how we do the TOC on mobiles. I've always like the idea of doing an accordion-style interface [1] (explanation [2]) like Wikipedia has, but more customized for our setup and layout.
