I think it is more than this. I still believe wallet is the right word here
based on the capabilities we want this service to have. Happy to keep bike
shedding but I worry that in standardisation groups we bikeshed stuff like
this so far that when the document goes out to the rest of the world it
makes no sense any more.

that are actually someone else's or multi-user wallets but let's keep it

I think this is definitely a proof of payment and it's specific to the
scheme. i.e. Proof that the payment has cleared, the payer is guaranteed
the funds in so far as the payment scheme defines this to be the case after
clearing.
