It is unclear what you mean by "this is not meant to be a discussion
thread" and then "but feel free to have as many separate discussions
about this as you want".  Do you mean multiple discussions elsewhere? Or
stuff multiple discussions into one post, continually rewritten instead
of keeping a history? Or...?

(yes, I did read the referenced email, but am still confused as to the
communication logic you want us to constrain ourselves to use).
