I was not expecting this and it has just made my day. Thank you both for the vote of confidence. Do believe me, though, when I say that I never intended on nominating myself. I have never been an editor and much less one in a context in which everybody else has significantly more experience than I do. I don't fit my own expectations of who an editor should be. However, perhaps a completely inexperienced editor making lots of mistakes can be better than no editor at all. I will wait a few days just in case someone more suited for the task decides to take the mantle. If that doesn't happen, I guess it'll be time to try something new! Best regards, Jacopo.
