Hi Nathan, I was given the task ( ACTION-58 ) of checking with you to see if you were satisfied that the current spec [1] complies with your ISSUE-18 [2]. Currently the TLS-Auth Spec puts the authentication to a service in terms of authentication to a TLS server. The TLS server could indeed be an ftps, nntps server, etc... The examples are for connections to HTTPs servers, but I do not think that this is mandatory. Can you check that this is to your satisfaction, and let us know if there are fixes that remain to be applied in order to allow us to close this issue?
