Ok, guys - considering the four regrets I've got in response to my telcon announcement, let's postpone it for one more week until Wed., March 29. This will be our last chance to talk in March (duh! :), and then I am out traveling for almost the whole month of April. Some observations on the test results that exhibit abnormal uniform failures: Test Case: tabledata-glyf-bbox-003<http://test.csswg.org/suites/woff2_dev/nightly-unstable/html/tabledata-glyf-bbox-003.htm> - failures are reported on all UA platforms but this is strictly an encoder / AT test, where the test condition is only dependent on the input font data. I think running this test on UA platforms is by itself an error. Test Case: tabledata-bad-origlength-loca-001<http://test.csswg.org/suites/woff2_dev/nightly-unstable/html/tabledata-bad-origlength-loca-001.htm>, tabledata-bad-origlength-loca-002<http://test.csswg.org/suites/woff2_dev/nightly-unstable/html/tabledata-bad-origlength-loca-002.htm> and tabledata-transform-hmtx-003<http://test.csswg.org/suites/woff2_dev/nightly-unstable/html/tabledata-transform-hmtx-003.htm> - need further investigation (verify the input data, check that the WOFF2 test files are correct, etc.). The tests themselves (and the normative requirements we test here) seem to be pretty simple and straightforward, I wonder if this is just a case of bad data. Talk to you next week, Vlad From: Levantovsky, Vladimir [mailto:Vladimir.Levantovsky@monotype.com] Sent: Wednesday, March 22, 2017 12:38 PM To: w3c-webfonts-wg (public-webfonts-wg@w3.org) Subject: Telcon today! Hello WG, As we *agreed* last week (yes, silence is approval ;-), let's jump on WebEx today at our regularly scheduled time to review the CTS results (http://test.csswg.org/harness/results/woff2_dev/grouped/) and discuss how we can "re-color" some of those red(ish) boxes into shades of green. I would like us to get to the point where we can truly call the WOFF2 _done_, and then we can relax and enjoy spending our time on other projects (which is what we've been doing prematurely for quite a while :). So, to shake things up a bit - let's talk today! I will be traveling pretty much for the whole months of April, so today's call would be an opportunity that may not present itself for another months or so (I am not sure what my travel/meeting schedule will be and if I would be able to join the call while on the road) - hope to hear many of you today at (note the EU time difference): US West Coast - 13:00 US East Coast - 16:00 Central Europe - 21:00 (the time is different for you guys this week!)
