Robin, All,

Marcos and I were discussing the following Note in the URI spec:

Note that using widget URIs directly when authoring content is  
discouraged, and authors are encouraged to stick to using schemeless  
relative URI references.

Perhaps the text should be a bit stronger:

s/is discouraged/should be avoided/

s/are encouraged to stick to/should only use/
