Hi, WebApps Fans! Welcome to the Web Applications Working Group, known affectionately to its friends as "WebApps". We will be continuing the great work begun by the Web Application Formats and Web API WGs, and hopefully moving on to do other specifications that improve the open Web platform. Here are a few useful links for you, as we get started. Home: http://www.w3.org/2008/webapps/ Wiki: http://www.w3.org/2008/webapps/wiki/ Charter: http://www.w3.org/2008/webapps/charter/ Deliverables: http://www.w3.org/2008/webapps/charter/webapps-deliverables.html Issue Tracker: http://www.w3.org/2008/webapps/track/ Only WG participants can raise issues or actions, or take on actions, using the Tracker. However, anyone can browse the issues and actions, and everyone can add a reference by emailing the list with ISSUE-1 or ACTION-1 (as applicable) in the subject line, where "1" is the number of the issue or action. Our IRC channel is irc.w3.org, port 6665, channel #webapps (fair warning: the channel may be logged). For now, we will be using the same CVS repositories as the Web API and WAF WGs. We will be having our first F2F soon, and we will set up regular telcons shortly... stay tuned. The chairs of WebApps are Art Barstow ("ArtB") and Charles McCathieNevile ("chaals"). The Team contacts are Michael(tm) Smith ("MikeSmith") and myself, Doug Schepers ("shepazu"). If you have any questions, or need help getting set up, please contact me or Mike(tm). Let's all work hard and keep it friendly. Best Regards- -Doug Schepers W3C Team Contact, WebApps, SVG, and CDF
