shannonbooth left a comment (whatwg/xhr#413) > But are implementations performing the behavior specified for not throwing? Or are they just silently eating the exceptions? I would expect us to not send ill-formed XML across the network. This is my interpretation, but maybe I am misunderstanding something from that commit and corresponding tests. The WPT PR https://github.com/web-platform-tests/wpt/pull/5123 for 59c9cd9ae31fc8fafd1c327f2d2a1ca1e88da28f seems to test this behaviour, which all engines pass (now under https://wpt.fyi/results/xhr/send-entity-body-document-bogus.htm?label=experimental&label=master&aligned). I'm going off of tests here, so there's always the possibility of misinterpreting the results (like I managed in https://github.com/whatwg/xhr/issues/242#issuecomment-6396472226 😅) Not 100% sure what silently eating the exception means, is that not sending anything at all? -- Reply to this email directly or view it on GitHub: https://github.com/whatwg/xhr/pull/413#issuecomment-6425717506 You are receiving this because you are subscribed to this thread.
