On a slightly related note: There is an [Origin Trial](https://developers.google.com/web/updates/2018/12/get-installed-related-apps) ([what is an Origin Trial?](https://github.com/GoogleChrome/OriginTrials/blob/gh-pages/developer-guide.md)) for an API called `getInstalledRelatedApps()` that can help with dynamically creating the manifest or changing the URL to ones with different settings.
