I would like to also echo this, whilst I'm not too concerned about loosing foreign fetch for the time being. The ability to install a Service Worker via a Link header opened a lot of very interesting potentials for delivering dynamic client-side caching logic via CDNs that act as a proxy for the first party domain, without having to compromise security or mutate html document responses.
