Here are David Singer's comments on behalf of Apple (and with David's permission):

We have one major request, which almost rises to the level of formal objection. Announcing tentative decisions in the draft minutes (not even final) is not enough; any issue worthy of needing a formal decision is also worthy of a separate email, Paul-Cotton-style, saying ‘Call for Consensus/CfC: xxx’. Many people do not have the time to check draft minutes every week, but everyone deserves to be alerted of pending decisions. Also, even draft minutes are sometimes delayed. Please revise the policy to use explicit CfC notifications.

* ‘modulo the HTML Media’ could be better expressed in plain english, 'not including the work of’
* I don’t think privacy and security belong under a bullet asking for universal access, but are independent
* ‘will rely on modularity’ — not sure what this means. Maybe be clearer — will develop modular specifications to the greatest extent possible?
* ‘may be defined within this group or other groups’ is out of place in a scope; are these activities in scope or not? If in, say so, and what they area. If you can’t say, admit a re-chartering may be needed.

The list of deliverables is terrifying; we hope that a way to manage the group, and possibly split it, will emerge.
