This could be good for avoiding some user confusion as well. If this is included in the manifest it would help with a scenario where users end up installing both the native app and 'pinning' the hosted app. >That's maybe a bit odd because the URL doesn't point to an alternate app manifest or even the app itself, but a web page which describes an alternate app. That's maybe the best we could do given that non-web apps don't tend to have web URLs! I agree that it is a bit odd. However, on several platforms, loading the web url triggers the actual app store to launch.
