Hi, This is a QA Review comment for "The XMLHttpRequest Object" http://www.w3.org/TR/2006/WD-XMLHttpRequest-20060405/ Wed, 05 Apr 2006 17:02:33 GMT First WD One of the common mistake, we can read online about XMLHttpRequest is that "Dom 3 Load And Save" is the *same* thing but was not implemented. An example of that is [[[ Similar functionality is covered in a proposed W3C standard, Document Object Model (DOM) Level 3 Load and Save Specification. In the meantime, growing support for the XMLHttpRequest object means that is has become a de facto standard that will likely be supported even after the W3C specification becomes final and starts being implemented in released browsers (whenever that might be). ]]] -- Dynamic HTML and XML: The XMLHttpRequest Object http://developer.apple.com/internet/webcontent/xmlhttpreq.html Wed, 12 Apr 2006 06:11:07 GMT I'm not asking the WebAPI WG to chase all these mistakes available everywhere, but the specification (Appendix) or a primer could be a good opportunity to fix that. On a related note, did you coordinate with the DOM WG where a project to add a method to DOM 3 for XMLHttpRequest functionnality has been proposed in the past by Philippe Le Hégaret? -- Karl Dubost - http://www.w3.org/People/karl/ W3C Conformance Manager, QA Activity Lead QA Weblog - http://www.w3.org/QA/ *** Be Strict To Be Cool ***
