Introduction: Rem Collier

Hi all,

I am an Associate Professor in the School of Computer Science @ University
College Dublin.

My core interests are multi-agent systems in general and agent-oriented
programming in particular. My interest with Agents on the Web has emerged
from recent work my group has been doing on the Multi-Agent MicroServices
(MAMS) architectural style [1] for integrating agents into REST-based
microservices architecture. We are currently working with linked data-based
microservices whose representations are based on RDF (or derivatives) and
can be consumed directly by MAMS agents.

A prototype of MAMS is available on gitlab (with examples) @
https://gitlab.com/mams-ucd/. At UCD, we are applying it to smart
agriculture (linked-data digital twins, decision support tools) and to
agent-based modelling. We are happy to demonstrate the work we have been
doing, so please feel free to get in touch if you want to know more.

I am really excited by the idea of hypermedia agents/agents on the web and
look forward to exploring the evolution of this area through this working
group!
