Dear Aficionados of Planet-wide Autonomous Systems, I'd also like to introduce myself: I'm Simon <https://scholar.google.com/citations?hl=en&user=SToKj14AAAAJ&view_op=list_works&sortby=pubdate>, a professor of interaction- and communication-based systems at the University of St.Gallen in Switzerland. With my team <https://interactions.ics.unisg.ch/>, we're explorers of interactions among devices, increasingly autonomous artificial agents, and people in ubiquitous computing environments - and I find the Web, with its demonstrated scalability, longevity and - most prominently - flexibility - to be a smart contender for creating an environment for all these entities. I see this as fitting in particular with the Web's focus on server-provided local guidance (i.e., HATEOAS) which I (and several others in my team) like to contrast with concepts from ecological psychology, and specifically with affordance-driven interactions of animals with their environment. I'm looking forward to our collaboration towards enabling autonomous agents on the Web!! Best wishes, Simon -- Prof. Dr. Simon Mayer Interaction- and Communication-based Systems Institute of Computer Science University of St.Gallen https://interactions.ics.unisg.ch/
