Introduction: Antoine Zimmermann

Hello,

I'm Antoine. I am associate professor at École des mines de
Saint-Étienne (EMSE) in Saint-Étienne, France. I do research in the
Semantic Web, with a particular interest in the problems of exploiting
multiple sources of information (in a broad sense) that exists on the
Web, such as multiple ontologies, multiple datasets, multiple query
endpoints, or multiple services.

I took interest in multi-agent systems by collaborating with coworkers
who are experts in the field, especially Olivier Boissier with whom I
co-supervised Andrei Ciortea's thesis in which he built the idea of a
social Web of Things that later broadened into hypermedia multi-agent
systems.

I'm also involved in the HyperAgents project (with both Olivier and
Andrei, by the way), a Swiss-French collaboration that precisely aims at
engineering MAS on the Web.

I am quite excited to see what will come out of this group.

Cheers,
