RE: 07 March Team B call

And Loreta reminds me of something else I forgot to put on the agenda:

She has some new drafts for How to Meet SC 1.3.5 (reading order) and
related techniques.

These, plus the proposed new SC 3.1.6 on pronunciation, should go to
the top of the agenda for Tuesday so they're sure to be covered prior to
surveying the Working Group.

This is a crowded agenda (so what else is new?). It will require
managing the time better than I usually do...<ruefulGrin>

Thanks,
John

Sorry! One more item for the Tuesday call:

New proposed SC 3.1.6 (about pronunciation) and the technique on using
the Ruby element.

You can get to the proposed SC from the Main page in the WIKI, and the
Ruby technique is linked from there.

Sorry!

Team B Call Tuesday 7 March

Time:
18:00 UTC
10:00 AM Palo Alto
12:oo PM Austin
1:00 PM Boston
7:00 PM Amsterdam, Rome, Stockholm
8:00 PM Jerusalem

Bridge: +1.617.761.6200 Passcode 9224#
IRC: irc.w3.org port 6665, channel #wcag-teamb

We are hoping to publish the Last Call draft before the CSUN Conference
on Technology and Persons with Disabilities, which begins 20 March.

The goal for Team B is to complete all work (including surveys) this
week.

1. Complete all items listed under the headings

- Needs Work
- Issues for Team B

On the WIKI page Feb Techniques Status at
http://trace.wisc.edu/wcag_wiki/index.php?title=Feb_Technique_Status
(Note: this page is also linked from the Team B page in the WIKI) 2.
Update the Status page if additional responses have been received on any
techniques; move as many as possible into the Ready for XML category

3. Identify any items that need to be surveyed or re-surveyed (I don't
think there are any in that second category, but check).

I will probably not be able to attend the call (though I will try). I
have to go to the MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston for a series of
tests that will take all week. This is pre-cuationary only-if I have a
recurrence of leukemia I will need a bone marrow transplant, and my
doctor wants me to have all the necessary testing done in advance so
they can move quickly if it becomes necessary. (Currently I'm in
remission and all recent test results have been good, so hopefully this
is just a necessary exercise!)

In case I'm not able to be there on Tuesday, I want to say now how much
I appreciate the work Team B has done over the past few months. We have
gotten a great many techniques written and approved, and closed a number
of issues as well, and I'm excited to know that we're so close to Last
Call! I want especially to thank Loretta for all her work in
coordinating and keeping track of all our work. Thanks also to Becky for
getting us going with the first task list about GL 1.3, and for lots of
techniques and failures. Thanks to Yvette for careful reviews of our
techniques as well as the techniques she's contributed.

John
