Hi Wayne and all Regarding your question on compliance officers I asked my college (she has a US husband) and she understood your question completely different from me. So first is this person working in house or is it someone from an institution like the Swedish Disability Ombudsman or in Denmark The Equal Opportunities Centre for Disabled Persons which is a kind of watchdog on behalf of our government to monitor or oversee that accessibility and equal opportunities as described in our legislation is followed? If it's a person within a company I must say no we don't have that maybe in other areas like environment and pollution or information to consumers e.g. companies selling medicine to the US market have to conform to US legislation etc. Cheers Helle Sincerely Helle Bjarnø Visual Impairment Knowledge Centre Rymarksvej 1, 2900 Hellerup, Denmark Phone: +45 39 46 01 01 fax: +45 39 61 94 14 e-mail hbj@visinfo.dk Direct phone: +45 39 46 01 04 Mobile: +45 20 43 43 47 www.visinfo.dk www.euroaccessibility.org -----Original Message----- From: public-wai-eo-umtf-request@w3.org [mailto:public-wai-eo-umtf-request@w3.org] On Behalf Of Wayne Dick Sent: Wednesday, September 06, 2006 1:22 AM To: public-wai-eo-umtf@w3.org Subject: UMTF Meeting 7 September 06 at 3:00 PM EDT Thank You, Your personas are good. William you might want to add one more --Esther Marcos -- the another woman at the center who has learned the web, but still has to cope with the disabilities of aging. Esther might want to learn about how to find accessible sites on the web. Helle, in the US we have compliance officers to enforce disability law in large organizations. Does such a position exist in Denmark? If so would you like to do the persona if you know such a person. I will do one too for our culture. Maybe we can come up with an international persona. I looked at all the personas for the WAI Sight redesign. Several are in the UMTF target group. I suggest looking at: Martina Prado (as is), Chandra Weesaw (with recent vision loss - 20/50 bilateral), Marc Blake (moderate dyslexia), William Travis (as is), Jessica Pratner (ADD), Xioping Zhang (as is), Dr. Su Sathianathan (Early Macular Degeneration), Brad Fletcher is a Viet Nam vet he had a spinal cord injury that placed him in a chair. We can discuss the personas on Thursday. Liam will talk a little on What Accessibllity Logos Meaan....
