Hi Anna Belle, I have reached out to the lead engineer at the Library of Congress for loc.gov, Chris Thatcher. He implemented SOLR and is willing to talk to our group to educate us on what’s possible. I’m including him on this message. I mentioned to him that we meet on Wednesdays at 1pm. Please let me know when is a good time to add him to the agenda. Thanks, Laura From: Anna Belle Leiserson [mailto:ableiserson@gmail.com] Sent: Friday, August 05, 2016 11:45 AM To: Shawn Henry Cc: WSTF Subject: Re: Smart Search Thanks, Shawn. A heads up to folks on the Task Force -- especially those unable to be on the call Wednesday. On the call we finalized what's included in the current sprint, and smart search is not part of it. There's of course nothing wrong with thinking about smart search, but the focus of our energy needs to be on the items that are in the the sprint, i.e. (1) analytics, (2) information architecture, and (3) style tiles. Hope you all have a wonderful weekend! They asked for more info, so I wrote up a brief description of what was in my head on this: <https://www.w3.org/WAI/EO/wiki/Smart_Search> Feel free to tweak it. In the relevant GitHub issue/backlog item, I added a link to that wiki page and links to the EOWG minutes from today: <https://github.com/w3c/wai-website-design/issues/6> Best, ~Shawn
