Dear WAI Interest Group, We expect to publish Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 as a 'W3C Recommendation' web standard in August 2023. For up-to-date information, see: What's New in WCAG 2.2 https://www.w3.org/WAI/standards-guidelines/wcag/new-in-22/ Today we entered the W3C 'Proposed Recommendation' stage with the WCAG 2.2 publication at: https://www.w3.org/TR/WCAG22/ Proposed Recommendation means that W3C accepted it and W3C Members vote on publishing the document as a 'W3C Recommendation' web standard. The voting ends on 19 August. WCAG 2.2 might be ready to publish soon after that, or additional W3C Member input could require more work. More about the process for completing WCAG 2.2 is in: How WAI Develops Accessibility Standards through the W3C Process https://www.w3.org/WAI/standards-guidelines/w3c-process/ To get updates on WCAG development, see: Get WAI News https://www.w3.org/WAI/news/subscribe/ Regards, Rachael Montgomery, Accessibility Guidelines Working Group (AG WG) Co-Chair Alastair Campbell, Accessibility Guidelines Working Group (AG WG) Co-Chair Chuck Adams, Accessibility Guidelines Working Group (AG WG) Co-Chair Michael Cooper, AG WG Staff Contact Shawn Lawton Henry, W3C Accessibility Education and Communications Lead
