For CMS, LMS, no-code website builders, and other 'authoring tools'

Dear WAI Interest Group,

This message has two parts:
1. For CMS, LMS, no-code website builders, and other 'authoring tool' vendors (abbreviations expanded in [1]).
2. For anyone who wants to encourage LMSs, social media platforms, and no-code website tools to be more accessible.
---

1. For CMS, LMS, no-code website builders, and other 'authoring tool' vendors:

The W3C Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) is providing a list of CMSs, LMSs, no-code website tools, and other 'authoring tools'. [2] This list will help your potential customers find authoring tools that provide accessibility support.

We encourage you to submit your authoring tool to be included in the public list.

Please submit your tool in December, if possible. Only the first few submission form fields are required. You can submit your tool now with some questions left unanswered, and provide an updated submission later.

The submission form is at:
 https://www.w3.org/WAI/tools-list/authoring/submit-a-tool

2. For anyone who wants to encourage LMSs, social media platforms, and no-code website tools to be more accessible:

We created short pages that introduce accessibility issues and how the web standard Authoring Tool Accessibility Guidelines (ATAG) applies to specific types of tools. Please share them with developers, project managers, and others who could benefit from knowing more about accessibility and ATAG.

* For social media platforms: https://www.w3.org/WAI/standards-guidelines/atag/social-media/
* For no-code website tools: https://www.w3.org/WAI/standards-guidelines/atag/no-code/

We welcome your comments for the next iteration of these resources. Near the bottom of WAI pages there is a "Help improve this page" box with links to GitHub and e-mail for your comments.
