This particular relationship is handled by exampleOfWork relationships from a generic CreativeWork to the individual edition instances.

The only thing that is not already in CreativeWork is 'FictionalUniverse' which may actually be relevant to the TVS/Radio/VideoGame world as well.
So I would question the need for a specific LiterarySeries.
