I definitely like Thad's thinking and suggested solutions to this
conundrum. Redefining "sameAs" won't change the essential difference
between a URI that *identifies* an entity and a URI that *originates* from
that entity - and IMO it's a difference that's useful to be able express
structurally.
To put it in the form of an anachronistic analogy, an Encyclopedia
Britannica article about Ian Fleming is quite different than his membership
at Boodle's.
