5. Main Topic: European Digital Credentials Infrastructure update


Official representatives of the European Commission are preparing a tailored presentation to the VC EDU Task Force about the most recent changes implemented in the European Digital Credentials for Learning (EDC) Infrastructure<https://europa.eu/europass/digital-credentials/issuer/#/home>. In a nutshell, the EDC 2.3 release focuses on addressing a variety of improvements, including the extension of the validity of European Digital Credentials, the enabling of credential download, and the improved display of credential data in the EDC Viewer. Additionally, as a response to frequent implementer enquiries, the user experience with the system's Online Credential Builder was also improved, including the provision of access to HTML templates that can be used to customise a credential’s summary image. There are also some notable changes in communication concerning EDC and the European Learning Model (ELM), that will be detailed in the presentation.
