Re: Call for Consensus to request transition of IMSC 1.3 to Recommendation

Thanks all who responded to this Call for Consensus, whose review period has now ended.

There were 3 supportive responses and no negative responses; additionally when this was raised during yesterday’s TTWG call there were no negative responses amongst a larger group of members.

I declare that we have consensus to request transition of IMSC 1.3 to Recommendation.

DECISION: Request transition of IMSC 1.3 to Recommendation

There is no further review period for this WG Decision.

For information, the Implementation Report<https://www.w3.org/wiki/TimedText/IMSC1_3_Implementation_Report> was modified recently:

  *   to copy in the TTWG Charter success criteria for advancement beyond CR;
  *   to explicitly explain how this applies in the case of IMSC 1.3;
  *   to list sample implementations of tts:fontVariant, and to mention the presence of tests for this feature in the IMSC test suite

These changes have no substantive bearing on the call for consensus.

Atsushi, I will raise a task issue on the w3c/ttwg space for you to make the transition request.
