We attach the first of two position papers we would like to submit for consideration to the W3C Workshop on Semantic Web for Life Sciences. The attached covers the topic of the INChI as a proposed technology for creating an LSID for small molecules in lifescience, with a policy implication which covers not only lifescience but other areas of molecular science. Both Peter M-R and myself would like to attend this meeting. -- Henry Rzepa. +44 (020) 7594 5774 (Voice); +44 (0870) 132 3747 (eFax) http://www.ch.ic.ac.uk/rzepa/ Dept.
