Re: First 2023 SWICG meeting call on Fri May 19

All,

> 1) (NON-AGENDA item) Although the common first call agenda tradition is introductions, I'm wondering if we can shortcut the introduction process by doing it elsewhere, such as on the SWICG mailing list, or SocialHub forum. Otherwise there's a good chance that we'll take up the whole call with intros. :)

I am Jan Wildeboer, Red Hat’s EMEA Evangelist during working hours and lobbyist/promoter of Open in many ways outside of that. Located in Munich, Germany. In Free Software/Open Source since 1993. My main thinking is on the topic of true identity ownership in a decentralised world (working title for the concept is TCP/ID - give people what machines already have, self-owned identity. But not just on The Net, also in real life)

My main interest in participating is to

1. Get a feeling for the interests and dynamics in the field
2. Promote and raise interest for solutions in dev and non-dev settings
3. Streamline communications and interactions

I was a developer a long time ago in various F/OSS projects but nowadays I am more interested in standards, specifications and doing the good marketing for solutions instead of staying stuck in flamewars.
