further work is necessary. further *specifications* might not be,
especially when what the current specs need is clarification and guidance
and stewardship, not rewriting or replacing entirely. and especially not
where such hasty standardization work would eliminate the more exciting
futures or enshrine fundamentally flawed or broken patterns in normative
language for years or generations to come.
