Trying to understand what you are saying. Are you saying:

* the specs are perfect as they are, and there’s nothing that could be improved (now? forever?), or
* it's not worth the effort — compared to the possible gain — to update them, or
* it’s not worth the effort of a particular group of people — like this group, yourself, or whoever — to update them?
