Hi all! I have a few ideas with FOAF I'd like to realize, and some of them involve describing my involvement in the sport of orienteering. So, I chatted a bit with the nice folks over at #foaf, and I was told to go bugger you, them, uhm, whatever... :-) Now, I appreciate the power of wordnets, and I guess it a general problem: Things that are relatively marginal, such as orienteering, is not in a wordnet unless someone with a specific interest in it takes the initiative to get it there. Is there a general way to address things like this? Well, obviously, I'd like to have Orienteering added. As danja pointed out in #foaf, it is related to the terms Run and Navigation. They are the two most fundamental things about orienteering, apart from it being a sport. There is however, another essential concept, that competitions are to be held in terrain that is unknown to the athletes. I have insufficient understanding of wordnets to understand if this is something it seeks to express. I'm not subscribed to the list, please CC any replies.
