Re: [svgwg] SVG Extensions - IEC 61850-6-2 (#699)

Thanks Amelia. I agree there are some opportunities for joint-development that will benefit both task forces. Indeed, SVG Native/Basic is too basic for our application, but we will try to define a profile in a manner that maybe you/others could re-use. We face the same challenge in IEC 61850, so we have defined guidelines and rules on how to go about this. (See IEC 61850-1-2 and IEC 61850-7-7).

As for the conformance statements, there are three aspects to consider:
1. Conformance Statements - These are defined by the vendors and are used to declare the 61850 capabilities. There are the following types, PIXIT, MICS, PICS, TICS, and SICS. PIXIT is for additional information that is typically not defined in XML, the MICS is the model capabilities, the PICS is the comm. protocol capabilities, the TICS is to declare the TISSUES (Technical Issues) that have been resolved, and the SICS is for tools. The ones relevant to the SVG would be the PIXIT, MICS and SICS.

Here is an example of a PIXIT: https://selinc.com/api/download/100939/

Here is an example of a MICS: http://testing.ucaiug.org/Testing/Shared%20Documents/Templates/IEC%2061850%20MICS%20Template%20v0.1.doc

Here is an example of a SICS:

2. Conformance Test Procedures: These are the test cases that each test lab conduct. They are not publicly available. Here is a dated version:
http://testing.ucaiug.org/Testing/UCAIug%20Testing%20Quality%20Assurance%20Program/Current%20IEC%2061850%20Testing%20Procedures/UCATestProceduresServer61850-8-1_Rev2p3.pdf

3. Conformance Certificate: These are publicly available and all conforming devices/tools are listed here with their corresponding certificate: https://www.ucaiug.org/org/TechnicalO/Testing/Lists/IEC61850Ed1ClientCertificates/AllItems.aspx

Hope this helps.

Regards,
Dustin
