IEC61850 has just created a new issue for https://github.com/w3c/svgwg: == SVG Extensions - IEC 61850-6-2 == Hello All, We are creating an International Standard for power system HMI applications, referred to as IEC 61850-6-2. This will effectively include: 1. Creating an SVG Profile that is based upon SVG1.1. SVG Tiny/Basic are too basic for our applications so we need to either extend or create a new profile. 2. Extending SVG with our HMI style and binding mechanisms 3. Creating a namespace description file (.NSD) and supporting schema for our SVG profile and extensions. This is all encapsulated in the Graphical Configuration Language (GCL) that we're defining. The configuration file is referred to as a Graphical Configuration Description (GCD). We are currently defining the structure of this file, including its base elements. 4. Development of SVG (GCL)conformance statements for 'authoring tools' and 'rendering agents'. 5. Development of SVG (GCL) conformance test plans for validation/certification of authors and renders. We are calling our SVG author/editor as the Graphical Configuration Tool (GCT) and the rendering agent is the HMI runtime application. We need to develop conformance statements and procedures for both. We are seeking the SVG Task Force's recommendation on the following: 1. Rules or guidelines on creating SVG profiles (within SVG namespace) 2. Rules or guidelines on extending SVG (extension to SVG namespace) 3. Any existing SVG schemas? Maybe we can develop this in collaboration with the SVG TF? 4. Any existing SVG conformance statements? Maybe we can develop this in collaboration with the SVG TF? We will post future SVG examples as they are mature. We look forward to your recommendations and look forward to working closely with the SVG TF to ensure we define harmonized requirements across both Task Forces. Thanks.
