@BigBadaboom Do you mean degenerate paths or shapes?
I'll assume shapes, so as a switch, I think that would be ok. If the 
equivalent path renders, why not allow the basic shape to also render.
 
For degenerate paths, I don't think we should go back on the decision 
that zero length segments render based on the cap type.
