Hi everyone, > Several of you expressed an interest in getting write access to the SVG IG > document repository [1]. Yes, although I'd be happy enough with read permissions to the repository (given that patches could then be generated), if there was a sufficiently swift patch submit+review work-flow. Of course that, even if/when one gets write access to stuff, I'd propose that very significant changes (other than typos and such) would be first submitted as patches for a quick review/discussion prior to commit. :-) > I recommend CVS [2], since that's what I use, [...] I've been using SVN the most, but I also have accessed a few repositories using CVS (via TortoiseCVS [1], a friendly user interface), so I may also give some sort of setup+support to whoever is not comfortable with using this sort of approach (specially for Windows users, at it seems that most group members are either on Linux or MacOS). ;-) > For a CVS account, send me a public SSH key as described in the instructions > for CVS [2]. While creating my SSH key, I found PuTTY [2] (a Windows Telnet/SSH utility which ships with PuTTYgen, a user friendly key generator) very handy; other users on Windows may also find it useful... :-) Regards, Helder [1] http://www.tortoisecvs.org/ [2] http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/putty/
